What Velio doesn’t do

The data we process

Your account

Your email address, and your name if you sign in with Google. Your password is handled by Firebase Authentication: we never see it.

To sign you in, on each of your devices.

Your profiles and settings

Each profile’s name and color, preferred languages, maximum quality, kids profile.

So that each person finds their own Velio.

Your sources

Your IPTV provider’s server address, your subscription username and password, or your M3U playlist link.

To read your catalog from each of your devices. Only you can read them.

Your activity in Velio

Playback position, your list, your favorite channels, the language chosen for each title.

To pick up where you left off, on another device.

Crash reports (Android app)

Device model and system version, Velio version, the technical trace of the error. Never a stream address or a credential: Velio removes them before sending.

To fix errors in the app.

Your provider’s catalog (movies, series, channels, program guide) is stored on your device and is never sent to Velio. Your device contacts your provider’s server directly; the provider processes your data under its own policy.

Why we may process it

Who with

Velio relies on Firebase, a service of Google Ireland Limited acting as a processor: authentication, the account database (Cloud Firestore, in the European Union), crash reports (Crashlytics) and hosting of this website. Some Google processing, such as authentication and crash reports, may take place outside the European Union; it is then covered by the safeguards provided by the GDPR (the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses). No data is sold or passed on to any other third party.

Cookies and device storage

How long

As long as your account exists. When you delete a source or a profile, its data is erased. Your account and all its data are erased immediately from Velio’s Settings, in the app or on the web (seeDelete my account). Crash reports are kept for 90 days.

Security

Exchanges between the app and Firebase are encrypted, and an account’s data can only be read by that account. Exchanges between your device and your IPTV provider depend on that provider: many do not use an encrypted connection.

Your rights

You may ask to access, correct, erase or port your data, to restrict its processing, or object to processing based on our legitimate interest, by writing to info@velio-iptv.com. We reply within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority of Belgium (Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, www.dataprotectionauthority.be) or with the authority in your country.

Children

Velio is meant for adults who hold a subscription. A kids profile only limits what a profile shows: it remains part of the adult’s account, who is responsible for it.
